Declined Transaction Assistance

If your CFCU Visa Debit or Credit Card transaction was declined, we may be able to help. Our Visa Transaction Assistance Line is available after hours. Call 1-888-526-0404 to speak with a representative (for international calls, dial (206) 352-4954).

Report Lost or Stolen Card

Contact us immediately when you discover your card(s) is lost or stolen.

  • To report a lost or stolen Visa Credit Card call 1-417-862-0471. After hours call 1-800-682-6075.
  • To report a lost or stolen Visa Debit Card or ATM card call 1-417-862-0471. After hours, call 1-417-831-4783 or 1-800-640-4485.
 

Notify Us of Your Travel Plans

Leaving Town? Let CFCU know! If travel plans are on your agenda, remember to keep us in the loop. This free service gives your accounts the greatest security while you're on the road.

Because CFCU is diligently on the lookout for suspicious activity, there's a chance we might decline an out-of-town transaction that isn't normal activity for you. We might also block specific locations (i.e. countries or states) or merchants for which we are experience high amounts of fraudulent activity. We apologize for any convenience and hope you will keep in mind that we do this to maximize your security.

By letting us know in advance that you will be traveling, you can minimize the chances that your card services will be disrupted while you're away from home.

Call us at 888-430-7199 or stop by our office with the following information:

  • Travel dates
  • Destination(s)
  • Card(s) you'll be using (ATM, debit, credit)
  • An email or phone contact where we can reach you while you're away

Verified By Visa enhanced with 3-D Secure Authentication!

Verified by Visa helps ensure that payments are made by the rightful owner of the Visa account, to make online purchases more secure. It aims to make your online transactions as secure, fast, and convenient as purchases you make in a store.

Verified by Visa usually works behind the scenes when you're shopping online, using advanced technology to confirm your identity. If there’s any doubt – such as when you use a new device or make an unusually large purchase - you may be asked by your bank to provide more information to confirm the purchase.

Visa always offers comprehensive fraud protection to cardholders. With Verified by Visa, you get an extra layer of security to protect your identify and your shopping experience online.

What’s Changing? What is 3-D Secure?

Starting April 30, 2018, Visa will eliminate the use of Verified By Visa static passwords and the enrollment process

When you shop at 3-D Secure participating merchants, the 3-D Secure provider runs a risk model that scores the transaction and a rules engine that uses the score and other transaction data to determine the risk of each transaction. Based on the result of the risk decision the transaction will be approved or denied.

Approved authentication will be transparent to you. You will no longer be prompted for enrollment and a password.

You  will be presented with the following message when authentication is declined:

“Authentication Failed. To ensure the highest level of security, this card cannot be used to complete this transaction. Please contact your nearest branch for assistance.”

  • Faster checkout time, and shopping cart abandonment
  • Eliminates fraudulent enrollment/password reset
